New work in progress, moving forward from the previous five year's drawing, painting and thinking. I am very excited by the things I am making at present. I hope you enjoy what I have made so far.
'Drawing for Ian and Natalie' was commissioned in 2010 and completed in March 2011. The other drawings shown here are made under the title 'Something I Can't Imagine'. This work is ongoing - drawing using mainly dry media on paper has taken precedence over painting for the time being.
'Glas' is a drawing made for the poet, Gillian Clarke. The title is a Welsh word, meaning blue-green, colour of hills. Gillian is a most inspiring writer and individual.
Drawings will be shown at this year's Newcastle Gateshead Art Fair in the Autumn, courtesy of Emma McMillan, art consultant and driving force behind Gallereo websites. Abstract Art Store is possible thanks to Emma and Gallereo.
My work will also be on show at the Affordable Art Fair in London, with thanks to TAG Fine Arts, who will be taking some works on paper, and Gallery Violet who will have some canvases.
New drawings, 'Headlong', 'Nothing Bad Can Happen Here' and 'Ghosts (2)' will be on show at the Anna Lorimer Gallery in Rugby. This friendly and vibrant space has just re-opened following refurbishment.
